The 2027 Society for Linguistic Anthropology Conference (SLA27) is thrilled to welcome you to New York City! We invite linguistic anthropologists and scholars in related disciplines and professions to convene in our dynamic city and explore the vital role of language in cultural and societal processes. Proposals will be considered for panels, papers, roundtables, the poster plenary, workshops, and other non-traditional formats. The conference will feature off-site excursions and other special events that draw on the vibrant resources and networks in New York City.
